Our first stopover was the charming capital of Bulgaria, Sofia.

We were dazzled by the majestic Cathedral Alexander Nevski

And we loved walking in the Vitosha Mountain park, where nature and the city meet.

We loved local gastronomy in the Zhenski Pazar market, where we tasted delicious and affordable specialties.
We also discovered that the Bulgarians nod to say "no" and shake it to say "yes"!

Then, direction Egypt and its capital, Cairo.

Cambodia has opened the doors of the famous Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm temples to us.

We also visited the floating village of Lake Tonlé SAP for an unforgettable cultural experience.

We have replaced our step initially planned in kyiv with another fascinating destination: Tbilissi, the capital of Georgia.

We explored the old town with its narrow alleys and its colorful houses, visited the Cathedral of the Trinity

And climbed the Narikala fortress for a breathtaking view of the city.

Tbilisi's sulfur baths, perfect for relaxing after a day of walking are an essential step.
We have tasted the traditional "Khinkali", a Georgian dish based on stuffed ravioli, and learned that you have to eat them with your hands to fully appreciate its flavor!

Also try the funicular to climb to Mtatsminda Park and enjoy a panoramic view of Tbilissi.

In the Philippines, we explored the old town of Intramuros,

And the Rizal Park to soak up the history and Philippine culture.

During a karaoke evening, we discovered that the Philippins are passionate singers and were invited to join them to sing a few songs!

In Mexico, we visited the archaeological sites of Teotihuacan,

The National Museum of Anthropology and the Historical Coyoacán district to immerse us in Mexican history and culture.

We loved the vibrant place Garibaldi, where we listened to mariachis playing traditional music.

Our favorite: a cruise around the Maltese archipelago to admire the cliffs and sea caves.
We also discovered that the "fenek" (rabbit) is a traditional Maltese dish and were intrigued by this culinary tradition, for once I was alone to taste the dish, and my wife wanted me all evening.
