My recommendations for a week in Lloret de Mar in Winter in a 4* super hotel!

I recently spent a long weekend in Lloret de mar during the month of February, and I can tell you that it is one of my best travel memories!

From day trips to the beaches of neighboring towns on the Costa Brava to festive dinners in the evening, this bustling town in the summer finds a much calmer aspect in the winter but it still has a lot to offer if you search a little .

By car direction A9, after the border count one hour drive (100km)

By plane, Girona and Barcelona airports are respectively 45 minutes and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Lloret de Mar. You will then need to take a taxi (about 50€)

What to expect when visiting Lloret de mar in winter

Visiting Lloret de Mar in winter will be an exotic experience! Although the temperatures drop slightly and the majority close, there is still plenty to do in this charming town. One of the advantages of this period is that it allows you to taste Spanish culture with fewer people than during the peak tourist season.

The beaches are beautiful all year round, allowing you to take a leisurely stroll or soak up the winter sun if it appears. If you are lucky, you can even discover snowy landscapes!

Don't forget to pop into a bodega and dine at the local restaurants along the beach, open all year round, for an authentically Mediterranean experience - delicious breads, olives and paellas await!

Where to stay - The four-star Sup Top hotel

Are you looking for the ideal hotel to visit Lloret de mar? Look no further than the Azure Hotel 4* Sup l, a four star establishment! This modern and luxurious hotel offers all the necessary facilities for a relaxing and pleasant stay.

Whether you are looking for elegant accommodation or delicious cuisine, the hotel facilities far exceed your expectations.

With its multiple swimming pools, state-of-the-art fitness center and refreshing spa services just a short walk from the center of Lloret, the Azure Hotel 4* Sup l is sure to make your getaway to the city of Azure unforgettable.

It has 3 restaurants each offering excellent cuisine.

Note, the hotel offers packages ranging from breakfast (excellent by the way) included, to full board.

The atmosphere

Contrary to what I expected, the Hotel was certainly not full, but far from empty. So much the better because I don't like desert atmospheres, it's creepy at the end.

On weekends, the atmosphere went up a notch and the bar plays music to create a mood for everyone.

Bedroom

My room was spacious and super comfortable. A large, very soft double bed. The modern bathroom is well equipped. There is also a nice balcony with a table and 2 chairs. 1 minibar and a coffee machine, 1 chrome cast tv perfect for streaming from your Netflix phone.

THE SPA

Beautiful space, the price of massages is correct around 60€/h and includes 1h30 access to the relaxation area. Otherwise it will cost you 25€ (expensive for once)

There is a Hammam, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Hydro Massages, and a long covered swimming pool in a Zen light atmosphere.

The price

I paid 72€ per night for a superior room with breakfast. I was kindly overclassified by giving me a pool view.

Apart from that, the prices charged in this 4* hotel are just incredible. Impossible to have such prices with such services with us. 0.5l beer at €3.60, coffee at €1.4, hot sandwiches at €6.

And that's what this Hotel has understood: Practice low prices with top quality service so as not to make customers want to go out. And it works pretty well, especially in the evenings in winter.

My Recommendations For A Week In Lloret De Mar In Winter

What are the activities to do in the city?

Honestly, there isn't much in winter other than exploring the city! There are always a few small shops open and restaurants to take a break.

But it's also the time to explore the beautiful surrounding villages full of character (Tossa de mar, Platja d'Aro, Blanes)

For those with a motorized vehicle, Barcelona is only 1 hour away!

Personally, I like to disconnect, take full advantage of the comfort offered by my hotel and the rays of the sun, not far from the swimming pool, with a coffee or a mojito depending on the time of day and the mood of the day.

Recommended places to eat and drink during a weekend stay

Every weekend I love exploring a new city and trying all the food and drink it has to offer! For a truly special experience on a weekend getaway, check out some of my favorite local spots.

From inviting cafes serving freshly baked pastries to lively bars offering craft cocktails, there's something for everyone in town.

Additionally, many restaurants now open their terraces at lunchtime and offer outdoor seating, making it the perfect way to soak up the sun while enjoying delicious food.

Whether you're looking for an upscale night out or just a casual lunch spot with a great view, you'll find plenty of memorable places to eat and drink during your stay!

My favorites are LA VACA ECHADA , to have fun Mas Romeu Restaurante for paella and seafood, head to La Lonja

I must say that I also really enjoyed the on-site catering at the Azure Hotel 4* Sup , which offered remarkable value for money.

Their table is also open, for those not residing at the hotel.

Recommendations for souvenir or gift purchases

Frankly, we are not going to lie to each other, not much to bring back from very folkloric in Lloret de mar, you will have to hunt around in the surrounding villages for that.

It's that when you visit a new place, there's nothing like finding the perfect gift to take home and share with your friends and family.

Souvenirs are one of the best ways to commemorate special trips and bring the magic of your destination into your home.

Whether it's a traditional object from the region or a more modern and creative object, souvenirs can be beautiful reminiscences of past travels.

Think about what kind of experience you'd like your friends and family to have, then look for unique stores that capture that feeling in their items or services.

Who knows, you might come back with something totally unexpected, but even better than what you were looking for!
